Project 30 – Cats all over Sharm

Project 30 – Cats all over Sharm

Today we’re launching another heartfelt initiative – Project 30: Cats All Over Sharm. The idea came from the many requests we keep receiving: “Could you please help here as well?” – a new cat colony, an urgent situation, a cry for help.

Until now, our TNR actions (Trap–Neuter–Return) have been organised by area. That structure has its advantages, but it also meant long catching operations, higher time demands, and sometimes delays in helping where it was most needed.

With Project 30, we’re changing that:

  • We respond flexibly – everywhere in Sharm, wherever cats need our help.

  • We catch the animals that come to us – the ones visible and easy to reach.

  • We ensure sterilisation, medical treatment, and safe release back to their familiar areas.

Right at the start, Nicole managed to catch eight cats (in Ruwaysat and Hay El Nour), who are now receiving treatment at the vet.

Why this project matters

  • Because we can act faster and more efficiently.

  • Because cats that approach people are often the weakest or most injured.

  • And because every single cat we reach in time prevents countless unwanted births.

With Project 30: Cats All Over Sharm, we want to show that sometimes it’s exactly the flexible, uncomplicated approaches that can make a big difference.

💚 Thank you to everyone supporting us – whether through donations, hands-on help, or simply by sharing our work.
Together, we can give Sharm’s cats a better life.

So far, thanks to your donations, we’ve been able to sterilise and vaccinate 300 dogs against rabies, and sterilise and provide medical care to over 400 cats – including more than 200 dental extractions. We also support feeding stations with €200 per month.

Update 09.10.2025
We are now at 16 cats sterilised and safely released.
