Project 29 – Cats of Domina Coral Bay
On September 28, we celebrated the relaunch of Project 29 – this time at Domina Coral Bay. After two productive meetings with the Resort’s Manager and General Manager (Hotel and Residence), we were able to establish a collaboration that makes us truly happy: together, we are taking care of the cat population on site.
The financial responsibility lies with Domina Coral Bay, while The Path to Humanity assists with catching and releasing the animals. The resort is home to several hundred cats, which are now being systematically cared for.
Yesterday morning, Nicole was on duty and successfully caught the first nine cats. They are being released today.
Nicole is supported by two long-time animal lovers from the resort, Monica and Massimo. Together with The Path to Humanity, they ensure that the cats are not only sterilised but also enjoy better living conditions in the future.
A key part of the project is the creation of official feeding stations, so that the cats no longer gather around restaurant areas. Both residents and tourists have already been informed by the management to feed the cats only at these designated spots.
This exemplary project is organised and coordinated by Manuela, on behalf of Domina Coral Bay, and we are very happy to stand by her side and support this important initiative.
Update 09.10.2025
Through Nicole, The Path to Humanity will continue catching 15 cats per week, which means around 60 cats per month can be sterilised.
With more than 1,000 cats living in Domina Coral Bay, this is a long-term project, but one with great potential for lasting success.
