Project 25 – 17 Puppies A story of hope, loss, and commitment

Project 25 – The Puppies

In January 2025, 17 abandoned puppies were found at a feeding site. Three different litters, helpless and alone. Our team member Ulrich responded immediately, organized help, and brought them to Abeer, an Egyptian woman who has cared for strays for years. There, they found their first safe shelter.

The Path to Humanity took responsibility for spaying/neutering, vaccinations, medical care, and food – despite limited resources. Sponsorships helped cover part of the costs.

But a Parvo outbreak changed everything. 8 of the 17 puppies died, despite intensive care from Ulrich and Abeer. The remaining 9 survived, were vaccinated, sterilized, and in May 2025, they returned as a healthy, united pack to their familiar area. They now live in an abandoned building, safe and protected.

Ulrich continues to care for them daily – with a mobile food and water station, funded from his own pocket. His dedication saved lives.

A happy ending that touches the heart.
Our puppies (Project 25) are now not only vaccinated and ready for their new life – they’ve also found something truly special: a pack of three big dogs who have lovingly welcomed them. 💜🐶

A beautiful conclusion to a chapter written with so much care, dedication, and love.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Berndt Brüning and Yvonne, who have supported us time and again – and of course to our amazing project leader Ulrich Hanusyk and his wife Brigitte – none of this would have been possible without you.

The pictures speak for themselves – and show how wonderful it is to share something so positive.

Project 25 is now complete – and a small piece of hope has become reality.
