Two additional requests have been submitted to the authorities:
– Permission to hang up our signs for the feeding stations. Animals have something to eat. And this is already a self-sustaining action for the cats. People in the area fill the feeding stations with food and water. This keeps the stray animals away from the garbage piles where they search for food, and it brings them together so we can capture, vaccinate, and neuter them.
– Permission to use a “Blow-Pipe” and this across all of Sharm El Sheikh. Street dogs need to be captured. This is not easy as they are often shy of humans. Therefore, to vaccinate and neuter them, we need someone local who can anesthetize the animals. The Path to Humanity will only grant permission to individuals who have professional knowledge of using the blow-pipe and only to those who anesthetize our dogs.
We are still waiting for a response.
