Our first action was a Clean-Up from the boat. The boat (with a capacity of 27 divers) was kindly provided by SEA COLLEGE DIVE CLUB, with support from CIRCLE DIVERS for tanks and guides. The event was supported by Ras Mohammed National Park, CDWS, and SSI. We were fully booked in just one week!
The Clean-Up day was a huge success. We met at Travco Harbor at 8:30 AM, greeted by Sayed from Sea College Dive Club, and Sabrina, who organized the event with me.
After a short briefing, we set off to our first dive spot, Karaba, with Dr. Adel Taher and Dr. Ramy from SSI. 22 divers, including tech divers Andy and Anna-Maria, were ready to dive and collect trash. Fabio, our photographer, captured every moment.
During the breaks, we were joined by the Ras Mohammed Park boat to collect the trash, with a visit from Dr. Walid Hassan, the park’s director, who promised ongoing support for future clean-ups.
After the second dive at Ras Peter, we returned to the harbor with a boat full of trash. It was an unforgettable day where we made a real impact on the environment of the Red Sea.
Thank you to everyone who joined us – we couldn’t have done it without you! Looking forward to the next one!
